Description
Housing
The aluminium module is extremely compact and offers the possibility of top hat rail mounting. All interfaces are quickly and conveniently available on the front panel. The module address and baud rate can also be set in a short time via DIP switch.
Stepper motor
The controlled stepper motor is current-controlled, 24 V and 48 V stepper motors up to 10 A each can be controlled. The current in each phase is controlled separately. The quiescent current for the stepper motor can be set to the value of the nominal current between 0 and 100%.
Operating modes
The operating modes available are adjustable full step, half step and microstep operation. The stepper motor has an incremental encoder input with a resolution of 16 bit.
Security is a top priority
The limit current is definable and is stored by the module as a base value, thus avoiding errors in the current calculation. The SMC100 also has an additional emergency stop function that is triggered if there is no bus communication.
